Anybody know of a good way to get some fenders right over the front wheels on a Raptor?
I know some of you will get a sick feeling in your stomach reading that, but I think for certain types of riding it would be great. I hate it when your doing 40 down a trail, and you find a little bit of mud that is just the right consistency and you get blasted in the face with mud and your blind until you can get stopped.
Anyway, I believe the DS650 has fenders mounted to the A-arms or something, I was wondering if a guy could get ahold of a set of those and "retro-fit" them to a Raptor somehow. I'd make them sort of quick-attach, quick-release if possible because I wouldn't really want them all of the time...
Any thoughts would be appreciated, even if you want to give me a hard time for such an idea

I would think that the DS fenders would fount up the same on the raptor as they do on the ds. You could probably just get the fenders off a ds and mount them up yourself. Im sure its gotta be basically universal.

Yeah but maybe not, either way, tell me how it goes cause Ive always wanted some like that too!

Yea, but just think about it, you take off the raptors front fenders, and the ds's. It is the same design up front, so its gotta just be a different type of mouting brackets for la DS-a-dora. Of course it always sounds so easy, but give it a whirl.---Rider1169

Yeah but if you were designing the DS for bombardier would YOU make it so the fenders could easily be interchanged between competing brands? I think not...However the ray of hope in me wishes that the designers of the DS wernt that smart

Go check out the Bombardier forum and look at my thread. That explains how they mount up on the DS, so maybe can give you a better answer if they will or wont work.
well from that picture those don't look terribly hard to jimmy onto a raptor.....
get ahold of some good steal that will bend, and make it fit around the two tubes on your a-arms...and a plate on the other side....
wouldn't be pretty but, some fenders like that would be awful slick at times

I think they turn with the wheels direction(Im not sure) so I dont think they can go on the a-arms.Originally posted by: LikeitsStolen
