^Very well stated. I wouldnt EVER get a K&N, because even in the sand you arent safe. A buddy of mine with a banshee went to California to go duning and the sand went right through the filter and into the engine and destroyed it. And even with an outwear cover YOU ARE NOT SAFE. K&N's give more airflow but it is so minimal that you cant even feel it. K&N's should only be used on pavement drag bikes and that it. Id stick with UNI on any application for the sake of protecting you from dirt, sand, and water from getting into your engine. I mean hold a K&N up to the light and itll shine right through....It's paper people...

The K&N are junk and besides they gotta let dust through who would want a filter that does that? Not me ive alrdy had 2 of those damn things fall apart and almost let dirt get sucked into the engine.. UNI ALL THE WAY

With a Raptor and K&N, you can feel the increase in top end over stock. With a K&N, you should clean it every three rides and use an outer wearer and you won't have a problem. The dude with the Banshee in California either did not have it oiled properly or did not have it installed correctly or the story is complete BS. I doubt if K&N could stay in business long if it were true.

I have been running K&N on my bike for 3 years in the dunes. It will pass fine sand without the outerwearer, with it there is no problem.
