check the screws that hold the battery in place or the ones that hold the wires going to the battery thats what happened to my friends raptor. make sure the screws are all clean and not rusted
or dirty or sandy.

 

i just went and turned my jey on and i have great power, i hit the starter and the relay clicks vigirously and nuthin else....you think the relays bad or sumthin else is bad and thats whats makin it tick??

 

The problem is your Relay. Had the same Problem last week with my buddies Raptor and it fixed it. They are under $30 at the Yamaha dealership.

 

it just started up after i washed it imagin that ...its like it didnt like being dirty or sumthin but im pretty sure that the problem was one of the wires going from the relay to the cdi is bad but never know thanks all.

 

Check your starter solenoid too. See if you can feel if its the solenoid or relay thats clicking while your pressing the start button. Good luck.

 

it was coming from inside the relay box but as of right now it isnt doing it. but as soon as get to the track it will

 

I've am getting desperate for help with starting my Raptor. I ride alone so it MUST start every time.

Starter relay? My Raptor will bump start so it is only a starting issue. I charged the battery changed the solenoid.

Starter relay? $30 Is that too good to be true?

Other threads discussed a one-way starter gear with an upgrade from L&D?

Sooo confused & frustrated. Why not have a kick start?!?

 

AJZ some friendly advice, dont ride alone because you might end up stranded or dead..........
