main jet change after installing new pilots
I realize the which circuit in the carb affects each portion of the throttle response. After I rejetted my Raptor, it ran great, but I had a some popping on deceleration several seconds after letting go of the throttle. So I decided to change my pilots. I went to 27.5 and it solved the problem.
My question is that I think Mikuni rates their jets in flow rate, so if I have 160/165 mains with 22.5 pilots and I change the pilots to 27.5, should I change my mains to 155/160 since the flow rate would be the same at WOT? I have seen different charts for which the pilot circuit is active. I believe the pilot circuit is active all the time.
What do you think?
Thanks
