well the yz250 are quik but one of my fellow black sheep have a raptor,well ill put it this way he has 12,000 invested in his and there is not much of anything that will out run his but to anser your ? yeah i think you can take him in a drag race.

 

whoa...common sense, two stroke DIRTBIKE, against a 660R fourstroke quad...dirtbike would smoke it hands down, hence the dirtbike pushes one tire about 4-5 inches wide, fourwheeler pushes two tires 9-10 inches wide...a lot of power loss there.

 

well maybe on the street but if your in sand dragraceing like you sould be the raptor is going to hook up and beet a yz250 for at least 100 yards than maybe after 100 yards it mite pass it. on the top end side.

 

When i race my friends KX250 with my raptor, not even funny. He has quite a bit of work to his bike, and i have my listed mods. When the race starts i grab him off the line for seriously 10 ft and bam its over. Its not even funny how insane 2 stroke bikes are. Done even race unless you want to see how bad you get killed.

However, wait til he gets a bald rear tire, and race him in a grass field. You will win then everytime.

 

ok, lets say there both on grassy terrain...a YZ125 can keep up with me on grass-easy, but top end i get the edge a little bit. your right, on sand the quad will hook up better casue of the bigger tires...and dirtbikes are a pain to ride in the sand. dirtbikes are just plain old quicker in acceleration by a long shot, and then after that you got the powerband...so yeah, the quads screwed until they both top out...then the quad might start gaining by a little bit...

 

Top end on a 125 maybe touchable for a raptor. But unless you do some serious gera changing, for get it. Ill be wide open 5th gera bouncin off the limiter, and he flies past me in a wheelie.

 

He i mean my friend with the KX 250^^^. Yes it does have quite a bit of work, but even stock 250's are gone.

 

yeah, agreed...250's are CrAzY fast...scared the crap outta me when i rode a YZ250...flipped it over back words in third, hit the powerband[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] it was fuuun

 

ya know im not one to get on here and tell lies like a stock 400ex will run 90 or a piped and jetted z will smoke a 450f. And i laught at some of the posts some people put on here but i know first hand my raptor will out run a

(swear to god) cr500 sand drag 300ft
every 250 dirtbike 2 or 4 stroke (sand) and (Concrete)
450f dirtbike (sand)


im not gonna lie i got out ran by a drag banshee or really hopped up ones

also im not afraid to say i get outran, you cant will them all but call BS on whatever you want but i tell no lies, why lie just makes u sound stupid
