Aftermarket Exhausts (sparky In vs Out)

Default Aftermarket Exhausts (sparky In vs Out)

Has anyone dyno'd their aftermarket exhaust with the spark arrestor in vs out?

I realize there is a change in flow, but I was wondering if it is worth removing or not.

Plus, how much do you think the A/F ratio changes?

prob. very very minimal, i dont think you would feel a difference.

it will sound different but there shouldn't be a power gain. did it to my ttr and i lost a good amount of mid-end power. I guess in some cases it might not be best to take it off.

I guess my issue is that I bought a used system that didn't come with a sparky and am looking to put one in at some point soon. I didn't want to have to rejet all over again.

I dyno tested my Graydon pipe with the race tip versus the disc-type(20 discs) spark arrested tip. No difference.

I guess I'm wondering why they make them removable. Cleaning or wearing out maybe?
