Banshee air filter
#1
I've had a problem with my banshee.
Air filter and carbs are stock, even the lid on the airbox. When it rains, the terrain gets pretty muddy, with water and sand everywhere.
Before yesterday, I didn't mind going there and having fun in the mud with my banshee, but now I'm so happy it's a twin cylinder. Let me explain.
The throttle was harder and harder, and at the beginning of the course of the lever, it was like on/off (like an electric switch)...not good. Little after, the throttle got almost blocked, except that beginning on/off of the clever. I managed my way back home, cleaned the 'shee, and hopped into some mechanical action.
I discovered that there was a lot of water and mud in the airbox, and that the carb had eaten dirt. That's why my left carb was blocked half open. Getting it clean, but I don't want that to happen again. I'm planning on changing the whole air intake.
Does the double K&N from Ryan Performnce work fine? Does a K&N stop water (with an outerwear)?
What's the best thing to do?

I have the Pro Design Pro Flow intake system on mine. It screws onto the box, and and o-ring seals it. Then you can clamp your filter on and off. I have the foam filter, and I just figure on using that all the time. But from what I hear the K and N will stop the mud..water I don't know.
