pilot jet please help im stumped
#1
Well,i need some advice. 2 stroke motor. this is for a lt250r but there seem to be more knowledgeable people in here. Stock pilot is a #30,and stock main is 240. I have an aftermarket pipe, and a clamp on K and N filter (no air box) Right now i know i have a 280 main jet and a #37.5 pilot. it starts easy but it is actualy harder to start with the choke on.and if you turn the choke on right after you start it it will die. It doesnt rev out very well unless the air screw is 1 and a half to 2 full turns out. I did a plug chop w.o.t. in 3rd gear, and the plug seemed fine for that range(dark brown). but when i let it sit at idle for like 5 minutes, and look at the plug,it is wet but the porcelan looked really bright. 37.5 is 3 steps over stock for the pilot. im thiking maybe i should step down 1 or 2 on the pilot so i can turn the air screw in a bit? i need pro advice. the choke not making a diference would lead me to believe im getting to much fuel.
