Just cause we forked out the money for the 4-stroke dosen't mean that's the only motor we know how to work on. 2-strokes are two much upkeep for not enough gain.

Not enough gain? If you are a trail rider, then I would say yeah. But for duning and most types of racing the amazing performance possible from these small 2 stroke engines easily outweighs the moderate increase in maintenance like rejetting and more frequent top end rebuilds.

I stomp almost all 2-stockes i come up against, with-out the headaches, reguardless of the terrain. With all the upgrades available these days, a 2 stroke just can't hang with the big $$$ 4-stroke. Besides who will care after their gone next year anyway?

LOL.
Sorry, but no amount of money can make today's fourstrokes beat the best of the 2 strokes. Banshees still rule the straight line and Honda R's are no joke either. Scooby can beat down a lot of banshees and R's, but he still has problems with some. Unless you're putting out around 100hp or more on your thumper, I wouldnt begin to think about it being superior to 2 strokes let alone proclaim it on a public forum.

Hey, lets quell the debate and help this guy with his overheating problem.....

If everything is working fine, you might consider installing a small fan from another bike or quad. Go to the wrecking yard and shop around (its a favorite place of mine to shop).

The "aircooled advice" comment?
I own six bikes and a project quad now. Four of those bikes are water cooled.
The theories of operation are all the same, it doesn't matter what it looks like.

That's right, reguardless of what it is you can't ride an overheating bike.

That's correct, unless you dont mind the repair bills.

On a 2 stroke, you will see the end of it soon. My friend had a banshee that ran hot (he was way too lean but didnt care). Sure enough, its in the shop right now becuase he raced it around an ice track for 10 minutes, ended up seizing right up on him.

On a 4 stroke you will most likely do damage to the engine, but it will usually keep running for a little while longer. Eventually you will run into the same problems with piston holes, seizing, etc.
