I know this is an ATV forum. But I was hoping that the good people in this YAMAHA forum could help me decide which two wheel yamaha off road motorcycle to get. Either the 2 stroke pw80 or the 4 stroke with electric start TTR90 E.

Kids do not need electric start. The PW80 has been around unchanged for decades and is still a favorite where the dealers do not have storeroom full of 4 strokes to move. I have never seen a PW80 need anything in way of repairs. Same as with PW50. Just fill up gas tank and oil tank and let very reliable oil injection system take care of engine lube. Our PW50 and PW80 are both long gone because kids out grew but could not break. Also after many years of hard riding the bikes still sold for nearly all that I paid for them. After the Yamaha 2 strokes I moved the kids up to Honda XR80, XR100, XR200, and then Kawi KDX220. If the kids are not racers but family trail riders then this progression is tuff to beat.
