Over the weekend I was out riding when suddenly every time I would get on an incline up hill my Raptor would die out. Not a good thing to happen out here in the mountains! At first it was not doing it all the time then it became a problem every time the front of the bike is pointing skyward. I took it to my dealer yesterday and just got the call that there is NOTHING wrong. They claim to have stood it on end and it continues to run. Seemed to me its a float problem as the gas tank was full and I checked everything I could think of. Any ideas would be helpful besides "don't drive up hills" = )

I was riding my friends Raptor and then he got on it and was just riding around in the yard, and it started cutting out and backfiring so we took it to the dealer and it took them about 1/2 hour to figure out all it needed was a new Plug i guess........ thats what they said.

Thanks...This problem seems to be related to the position and movement of the bike. Only when I get on a hill does it bog, then if the hill gets steep it simply quits! Thanks for your input

check for pinched vent tubes from the carb and fuel tank, drain the fuel bowl, try switching the tank valve to reserve while hill climbing, check the filter screen, just some ideas ,hope they help!

Thanks...Yeah I hope the "experts" at the dealership think of that and get it fixed by this weekend. Planning a little riding trip with the wifey!
