your going to save what no more than a pound by removing it. IMO just take a dump before each race and your good to go. Depending where you shave your fenders, will justify whether or not it has to be removed. For instance mine, and stallions fenders are shaved and we still have the reverse. Check my pics, Kings bikes has the fenders shaved totally off and has no reverse. Your best bet it to contact rapfam, and find out where he got his at. His uncles raptors have them revoed and they have this trick little cover to go over the hole. My reverse is hanging on by a thread, and im debating on removing it but its surely not because of a weight issue.

 

Actually...I shaved my front fenders for 2 reasons....one is because I flipped my bike at the Cinders...see videoClick here to watch....and second...It saved me some wind drag on long haul drag races...At the dunes, the longer the line of people watching, the longer the drag race gets.
