Is there a performance diff in Yoshimura's exhausts?
#1
I need an exhaust to complete my Raptor. I was looking into either the stainless or the titanium (tri-oval) exahust. Is there a performance issue with either one or it's just weight savings and looks?

The tri oval has just a little more power, since it's a race version with no spark arrestor. It will be a little quieter too since the tri oval shape cancels a little more noise.

Can you put a spark arrester on it? I'm going to Silver Lake Michigan and both my bikes are down. Raptor is closer to completion, but if you plan to ride to Silver Lake exhaust needs spark arrester.

yea you can get a sparkey, actually, i think it might allready come with one, also if it needs to be shhhh'd a bit, you can get the TEC Kit that comes with a 94dB insert.

Entomber-If you have your mind set on the yoshimura then you can disregard my suggestion but if you are still shopping then i would at least consider the LTE duals.I have the LTE system on my 690 and they are quiet ,well built and they give good power gains especially in the mid and top end. I wish the LTE would have been available when i first got my raptor because i could have saved the money i spent on two other systems(FMF-PRO CIRCUIT) but live and learn i guess. As you can probably tell i am impressed with the performance i get with my LTE system and i am suggesting that you at least research the quality and performance with this system.I dont have any input on the yoshimura other than a friend of mine has one on his 690 and while it is a good exhaust i personally dont feel that it is as good as the LTE IMO. The LTE does come with a spark arrestor and quiet core.
