Hi All... Since I joined this group a few days ago everyone has been wanting to know where I got my used Raptor. Well I just found another one on ebay for sale if anyone is interested and just cannot wait. >http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=450738615<

BE WARNED: It appears the guy is out to make a killing. Emailed asking what they wanted and he said $8500. Imagine thats the reserve!

This guy must run his Raptor with the garage door closed. This is what he writes as the description on e bay. There is a 2 year wait at the dealership for these badboys. Yamaha only released 2 per dealer in the USA. I got it, you want it, call me and lets make a deal. (404)310-7929. 20% deposit is due when the auction ends and the bike is to be paid in full within 5 days after auction or you will loose your deposit. LETS GET IT ON!

Sorry to hear that...The dealers in Reno NV are doing the same thing...Just a few months ago there was a waiting list for an $8500 DS650 and now they have a line up of them 10 wide they can't get rid of. When I was in there to drop off my Raptor for service I asked how much and how long. They CLAIMED 3 year wait and $8450 +Tax++++++ and promptly showed me a list notebook full of names and phone numbers. Think these dealers are simply writing names on a piece of paper to make us all think there are hundreds waiting for machines = ) Sorry, not for me. Picked mine up used from a guy for Under 6K and for that kind of money its a decent machine even though its in the shop = )

TRere is NO way there is a 3 year waiting list for the Raptor. Heck, My local dealer is charging 7200 OTD, no takers, it been here a week! I laugh, greeedy dealers. Oh yea the dealer 40 miles away is charging 7500 +setup. Loks like Il wait until the excitement dies down and get one for 6500..

Bash,

It is in the shop going on 3 days now. The problem is when I get on an incline (going uphill) it bogs likes its getting no gas. Then when it gets real steep it simply quits. I personally think its a float problem but they say everything is normal. I told them to work on it till they find the problem as around here (Sierra Nevadas) you don't want a machine to be quitting on you half way up a steep canyon = )
