Default Bought another Blaster

Well I bought another Blaster. It is a 2003 model, with serious body damage I don't know what the guy was thinking shaving the rear fenders. I am needing some parts which can be read in my other post "Need Parts for Blaster" .
Here is a link to a couple of pics of the blaster.

Whoever the guy was that butchered the rears on that poor thing must have been blind drunk or just plain stupid. Also removing the end-cap on a stock silencer is about as ghetto as it comes too. Other than that it looks quite nice & for $500 WTF right?? Does it run well though??

$500 cash. Runs great, has an oil block off kit already installed. I put new fluids and a new plug in today, everything runs great.

Cool beans!! Can't beat that. Although the plastic may set you back a couple hundered bucks, a two yr. old quad for that price who cares.

Killer deal for $500. Did the guys sell it cause he was tired of people making fun of the stupid trim job on the rear fenders.

BTW, does everybody have that workbench or what? LOL

sounds like a good fixer upper! I just bought an 02 acually the day after christmas, had one and sold it to my dad to get a new 03 carry over raptor, thought I would like it better, but was dead wrong, blasters I think are the funnest quads of all time. the raptor would bottom out on every jump no matter what the setting, the blasters light and torquey. just put all new maier silver plastic, wholeshot tires, douglas wheels, and an fmf slip on. love the thing, owe yea, payed 1800 bones for it, but it was in exellent condition.

ive got some sweet pics, but dont have any way to down load em, ive been an automotive refinish tech for some 12 years or so, got icar master certification about 2 years ago, when you paint the fenders, scuff the entire fenders with a red scotch brite pad or 400 grit sand paper, ( i like the scotch brites, you can be more thourogh,) before paint, use a plastic adhesion promoter, if at all posible i would use a base coat clear coat paint, that way you can add a flex additive in your clear, and you wont have any problems in the future. I painted the original fenders and tank cover on my 02 blaster, bought it used, when i first got it, painted em charcoal metalic to match my truck came out real nice, every one was askin what year it was and asking what year they came in charcoal grey, you couldnt even tell it was painted, blacked out all the undersides.
