Default To Trade or not to trade

Ok, I am in a pedicament right now and I would appreciate some comments or advice from you fine members. I currently have a 2004 Ltz 250, I am 6ft 180 lbs and have had the bike since Oct last year. I love the bike, but the more I ride it, the more I wish it had a little more power, more importantly a clutch. Again do not get me wrong, I love the bike.

Anyway, a guy at work has a 2001 Yamaha warrior 350 that he has had since brand new, the bike is in awesome shape, had very low hours on it, and the original tires still have the yellow line on them. He has ridden it very little since he got it due to some illnesses. He has a 12 year old grandson and he feels the 350 (clutched) is too much bike for him, he has offered me an even trade 1 for 1. He feels my bike is much better suited for a 12 year old.

2004 ltz250 auto FOR 2001 Yamaha Warrio 350 clutch

do you guys think this is a good deal, or am I getting wripped off, i know the warriors are a higher priced bike, but please share your thoughts ASAP as I am seriously considering this trade.

If the warrior is in that good a shape I'd say its a fair deal. I just got a 01 warrior few weeks ago and i love it so far.

NADA Guides say:
2001 Warrior: $2,280 Low, $2,995 Avg
2004 Ltz 250: $2,290 Low, $3,010

I say:
Go for it, It's Faster, has a clutch, it's bigger (you are 6 ft, the 250 is kinda small) and best of all, has a 6th gear, which is AWESOME to have there.. when racing a simular bike(300ex, etc..) 6th gear wins it.

Thanks guys, im gonna take it out on Sat and if I like it I will be taking it home with me and leaving my LTZ with him.

He road my zuki tonight and since he is so new to quads he loved the fact that it has no clutch.

I may ask him to give me 300 bucks too, because I imagine even though we traded when I transfer plates and ownerships they will nail me for taxes
