Default 727 question

Since barker's pipes seem to be making more hp than the drag pipes I dont see that as a limiting factor.

I dont think it would be a stretch to say that any of the major builders could make a 70hp 727. More hp is possible, way too many variables.

Don't know what builder. He told me 81 hp at the rear wheels I thought he was full of it . Maybe not, but he wont bring it out to play so I can see.

Default 727 question

There has been talk of 80 HP Raptors on just race gas but they are like Bigfoot or the Loch Ness Monster ..... a lot of talk. I haven't given up yet, I'll keep searching the country until I find one

Seriously, a lot depends on the dyno. Some are more generous than others, there could be 10 HP differences between dynos EASY.

H, who was this? Was it a local guy? There is a Turbo guy runnin around that Clifford cycle built. He was tellin everyone that he raced and beat me. I found out that his quad has never ran and is still at Mr. Turbo bein held for payment. I guess the rod let go and and split the motor in two. I know thats the type of work Cliffords does, My first Raptor he cracked my oil pan and the Valve cover.

Zombie, yes hes local said he got it from someone in KC. Wouldn't bring it down to the river to spank Crazys Sand Slug so can't say how it really runs. If its as fast as the guys mouth it will be a rocket . I have my doubts.

i agree, way too many variables.
theres alot more to determine what gains you'll get than just exhaust and pump gas

Default 727 question

yea my friend has done all his work at the same shop with a dyno there. His z stock it said it was 22hp. full pipe it said 24.5. intake and exhaust cam and filter, 29hp. so maybe that is true, just 8 hp down from the start. so add 8 to everything and it makes sense i guess.

Here's a dyno graph of a standard Kenz 727 build:
