I just did the Big Gun Race with ceramic header. Wow, what a differnce.
But, it is loud as hell without the Vortex insert.

 

Curtis Sparks gives you the most speed and power

 

I've talked to many guys out on here and a few yamaha dealers in california and they all said the yoshimura gave the most performance increase of all pipes and full kits... thats why i ordered mine...

 

Just for the record.. The Yosh pipe improves the entire power band. I went over to Yoshimura R&D in Chino today and bought a 96db insert for the places where a little more quiet is wanted. Got a few stickers and a new 2005 Yosh product
book o yea, they gave me a few more springs I asked for... and I picked up a hat, Pretty cool place!

how loud is the sparks?

 

i heard one on my friends 660r and they are nice sounding but for the price you can get the yoshi full kit... and they seem to be ones people going with...

 

I think the dB rating without the insert is around 102dB Plus or minus a few.... with the insert its 92-96 for sure.

what are you talking about, the sparks cost 500 bucks with the spark arrestor. So that means it is cheaper and better than Yoshi
