Default ??? ON CARBS FOR A BANSHEE!!!

I have heard from other people that by removing the switch assy's from the carbs that i will get more power. Not sure if there called switch assy's but there the top pieces of the carbs, the one you use to adjust the idle. Is it worth it to take it off, and will i feel more power by removing that?

i believe your talking about the t.o.r.s system! they have created a lot of problems on banshees! i believe the system is kind of an over rev limiter for the banshee. Vito sells the t.o.r.s eliminator kit, you can find a Vito's ad in Dirtwheels Magazine usually! I dont know if you will notice a power difference but the bike will be a lot more tuning friendly and you wont have the tors problems in the future!

You don't really gain any power, you just gain more reliability by removing them. What you are talking about is called TORS (Throttle overide system) You might want to check out www.bansheehq.com It's a very usefull sight specifically for banshee owners

Close. TORS is a throttle over ride and kickes in in case the carbs or throttle get stuck wide open. (commen problem with shees) The problem with them is its kicked in when the E brake is engaged or there is slack and you bike thinks its engaged. Try it put the e brake in and try to hit the gas it wollnt rev high thanks to tors. It fails when people let the ebrake adjustment get outa wack. I just unplug the stupid system. But becarefull of a stuck throttle.

sorry no HP gain. but you could mod you stock timing plate for free and get 2-3 hp well worth it.

Oh and shees dont have a rev limiter.

I Bought the Kit From Vito's and installed it on my Shee. No Extra Power but like They Said it's easier to Adjust. Plus if the Throttle Sticks use the Little Red Button on the Left Handle bar

What everyone is talking about is the T.O.R.S. (throttle over ride system) it doesn't cause to many problems by itself , but over time (2-3 years) the weight and vibration of the things being on top of the carbs will cause the cheap rubber seal to break or wear out leaving you with a nice little air leak on the top of the carb, if left unchecked eventually it will get bigger and that will lean out your air-fuel mixture and cause piston failure, it will not give you more power to replace this system but it may save you from blowing it up, the "kit" they are talking about aswell is very easy and straight forward to put on just read and follow the instructions, everything you need will come in the "kit".
The first thing I would buy when building a banshee is pipes (toomey or pro circuit),carbs (34mm pj's) Piston's (forged) Cool head (w/interchangeable domes) and that should give you a machine that most riders can't handle, anything more then that you better know how to ride.
