Raptor/400EX/DS650/LT500

The LT500 is the fastest bike on your list. I own a quadracer 500. I dont recommend anyone buy one unless you've been riding for a good long time, have a strong right foot for kick starting, and alot of room to let her run. Its not a good first quad or for the inexperienced.

While I am very proud of my new-and-not-even broken-in yet Raptor, I think the LT500 has been passed over as the baaaadest quad ever constructed in many of the recent 400EX/660R/DS650/Banshee discussions.
IMHO, the LT500 is the real man's quad and everyone else is talking trash. Kinda like the Shelby 427 Cobra of ATVs... I like mine a little more cushy, quieter, and convenient, hence the Raptor.

I have a buddy who has a modified lt500r. He can't wait to race a Raptor. He raced a ds650 a week or so ago on a quarter mile dried up river bottom. It wasn't even close. In fact the banshees that were racing along with them beat the DS. But this could be due to the rider. At least with the banshees. His lt500r was clearly faster. It was kinda funny before though. A guy pulled up on a 400ex and wanted to race the 500 up a sand dune. My buddy laughed and said ok. Gave the 400 a head start then beat him very badly. I ride a 400ex and it is a great machine but clearly not the fastest. Just the best for me.
