12 tooth question.
#1
I tried out motocross and supercross at the local track this weekend for the first time. I fell in love. Its soo much fun. But ya, since I know you need more accelration than top speed, would a 12T front be good with stock tire size. I use this also in the woods and on trails so I would want to keep my ground clearence and not go to 18" tires.
If I get the 12T, how hard is it to swap it in, and would it be ok to change from 12 to 13 say like when the track closes in order to have speed when I go on the lake in the winter and so on. Or would the teeth and etc. wear out too fast from changing. It would probably be like changed maybe tops 4 times a year if that.
Lastly what is a good brand. I don't think they are that much, I have seen them for 20 bucks. All I think I know is that you want to get a steel one so it has strenght and wont grind out fast.
MIke.
