Don't know either, but everything they have listed for tusk Gas caps is out of stock!I'm going to order any way,It's only a gas cap,not a performance part.It will polish up real pretty just like all the rest of my aluminum.

Maddog56,
What a douche statement to say. That graphics kit you have is a non-moving, non-stressed part that costs way more than the stock one on your Raptor. I will tell you some background info on aftermarket parts. I know a machine shop for Uni who makes aftermarket billet gas caps. Their only instructions to this machine shop was to make the threads on the cap "to thread with the manufacturer's plastic threads on their tank". So it is up to some guy to figure out thread pitch and thread class. Quality is all over the map with aftermarket atv parts, people trying to make a quick dollar without any engineering in the process.
Quality does count. By the way, an aftermarket gas cap is another excuse to spend money on a toy. Like putting after market rims on your truck. Either will work, but alot of people spend thousands on what "looks cool". Same concept with a gas cap.
Quit whoring your free ipods of flat screens or anything else on an atv forum.

I didnt say anything about AM vs stock. I didnt say you had to buy a stock gas cap and there was no reason to get something that looked better. Perhaps you dont understand the idea of a non-stressed part. You see all the gas cap has to do is stay on, hold gas in, and vent air out. All a graphics kit has to do, is cover your plastic and look how you want it to look. Now this means that you dont need to worry as much about the quality of what you buy as if you were buying something like an axle or piston. Even a wheel will endure a lot of stress and strain and you being safe and winning a race will depend on that wheel holding up. Cant say that about a graphics kit. Get the point?
Thats my point about the cap. As long as it holds gas in, lets air out, stays on and looks how you want it to it really doesnt matter what grade of aluminum its made out of or how precise the machinery is that cut it out. That clear enough?
So you go ahead and pay 2x more for your billet gas cap. I think the Tusk looks better than most of the AM ones out there and since it does what its supposed to I'm a happy guy. I'm not worried about the aluminum falling apart on me, but I can understand how it would keep you up nights so enjoy your expensive part.

Its form versus functuality...Maddog is right...on what its purpose is...There is a OVER lying theme on these forums..personal attacks and bombardment of another persons ride..engine builder..mods..will it stop? Probably not.but I use these forums too and simply dont click on anything unless it applies to something I have expeience with or applies to my rides.
As far as the gas cap issue goes..I havent heard anything bad on these forums about them so far.
I'm thinking there are very effective at there pupose?.

I bought one of these last night from my cousin when we were out washing our quads, I gave him $20 for it, its only got one ride on it so far.
It looks great, seems to be good quality and does its job well. I would strongly suggest getting one.

btw for the guy wondering about Tusk's nerf bars, I had some problems with mine for my z250 but I don't think there are any problems with their nerf bars for other bikes. When I did e-mail them about my problem he got back with me the next day and told me he could give me a complete refund (Even though I had already put four rides on the bike and scratched the bars to death) I decided to keep them and fix them myself though. They look nice.

They have exellent customer service. They have E-mailed me twice in the last 8-10 days about another order. The Tusk bars are built really well, the fit was exellent. It just takes a little time to get them adjusted evenly. They are pre-drilled for heel guards, polished to a mirror finish, includes webbing, they are fat bars1-1/8or1-1/4,very light weight.I would recommend them.Thats just my opinion though.I would have to see other brands before I spent $159-$200 plus on other name brands like DG,PRO ARMOR,AC RACING ETC.Alba does have some nice anodized bars though$159.
