Default Need help on a wolverine

I was riding it on friday and everything was fine, but when I went to go home it started and idled fine but as soon as you give it gas it's like it is chokeing out it wont rev and it back fires. I replaced the plug and pulled the carb and all the jets and cleaned them and still no difference. Anyone have any idea. Thanks

I had this problem with my wolverine and It kind of just went away. But some things that it could be are the parking break or even the switch that engauges the limiter could be stuck. (if the parking brake is on it wont go above idle to save your brakes). Could also be bad gas or water in your gas. I'd throw some dry gass in there. I didnt know nearly as much about quads when mine was doing that and the stealership replaced the CDI, then said that wasnt it and replaced somthing else but didnt put my old CDI back in (bastards) so Im not sure but it still did that once or twice after i brought it to them. Gas and parking brake limiter are the two first things I would check into though.

Thanks for the reply. I am going to feel like the biggest idot, but I bet the parking brake is on because earlier that night I went and got a trailer of wood with it for a bon fire and thats the last time it ran fine,so i'll bet I set the brake and forgot. And the brake dont work so I would'nt have noticed it rolling it around the garage.

Yep, sure enough that was it. But now it is leaking gas from the carb I think it is comming from the air mixture screw, so ill have to take it out and see if something got in there.
