Dude, how old are you? You get a good runnin Banshee and it will take a yfz in drags unless your racing in loose conditions. Stock 4 stock I'll give it to the YFZ. Get some time under your belt before posting in these threads.

Doesnt matter how much time you have under your belt, it still doesnt yield anything productive posting in these threads.

Got ya moto.

My cousin's FMF piped shee has no problem with piped yfz's and takes care of most cam modded ones as well. Races are sand hill climbs.

I dont have any experience though.

Maddog, LOL

Another factor in dragging a shee is traction. Usually when a tuned and piped shee loses to another machine(mildly modded) it is because of this. One of two things is wrong.

1) The rider doesn't know how to put 2-smoke power to the ground
2) The Suspension, tire, etc. setup is not set right

I have seen some fast, and I mean FAST, Banshee's lose to slower machines do to not getting any traction.

When I had my rap piped I once raced a beast of a machine. It was a zuki lt230 with a huge swingarm, doesnt sound like much huh? Well the powerplant was a direct pull from a NHRA pro-stock motorcycle. This thing should have made quick work of just about every bike I've ever seen, but I was able to beat him with a piped four stroke. Why? All his rear tires did was spin, and even then I barely beat him. Chassis and tire setup is crucial and can easily negate any hp advantage.

Maddog56,you hit the nail on the head. The 4-strokes have an advantage as far as traction. You can't blame them for taking advantage of it.Us 2-strokers would if we had a chance. The more power you put to the 2-strokes the worse it gets.I'm finding that out.I still think the banshee with all the mods. you could get would be the king of the drags.Out at Little Sahara,I was told of a yfz with a Ron Wood kit and was told that it was awesome. With enough money, they all will run fast.

My 450 with just intake beats my buddies banshee with cpi's, k and n, and jet every time, with out fail. Trade riders and there is no difference. He is lighther than me by about 40 pounds also. My other buddy with a 409 stroked banshee with those "extreme haulers" or whatever they are beats me, but not by much. I'm not arguing the fact that banshees are the better drag bikes. Heck, their possibly the best drag bikes ever built. But when talking just about pipe jet and filter kind of stuff, the 450 wins. That is unless the rider sucks. But I get my *** handed to me by banshees quite often, they also have 10 or 12 thousand invested in them! My whole bike and everything on it cost less than their performance mods! Anyway, while banshees are the draq Queens (oops, hope I didn't offend anybody! j/k) the 450's are the new kick *** bikes.
