It is a real video clip, it was on a show like scariest crashes or something. After the kid flipped like that he layed there for about 2 minutes trying to yell for help and once he finally came around he ended up being ok and was able to make it back home. They even had an interview of him on the tv show that aired it. he was riding alone also which made it worse.
After the interview with the kid they showed him doing donuts on his new banshee he bought, its def real people

It looks like its a dummy on the atv, not a real person. And looking at the title, I would say someone made this up. But if that is a real person, ouch!!

I don't think it's fake. I saw a buddy of mine do that exact same thing on his Raptor 3 years ago. The rear grab bar caught him across the lower back and the quad rolled over him. He suffered a ruptured spleen and pancreas. He went to the Hospital that night and was released a couple of days later. He went home and wasn't told he couldn't eat solid food, he did and wound up back in the local hospital. Then he was flown to Indianapolis for emergency surgery.
He died on the operating table and the doctors were able to bring him back. They said when they opened him up he was full of infection and the local hospital missed the ruptured spleen due to the swelling. He then spent a week in ICU. He was finally released from the hospital three weeks later. He had a feeding tube installed for 6 months before they finally took it out.
He lost about 50-60 lbs (he was only about 150 before the crash) and accumulated $150,000 - $200,000 in medical bills and he did not have insurance. He had to sell his quad, his truck and motorcycle to pay some of the bills and then still ended up filing Bankruptcy. I think he finally ended up going back to work in july the crash was in October of the previous year. the doctors told him that if he had been heavier he probably would not have gotten hurt as bad but since he was so thin there was nothing to cushion the blow.
When I saw him that April he looked like he had just walked out of Auschwitz (Concentration Camp). He told me he would never ride a quad again and would definetly never jump anything again. He said he got a second chance at life and was not about to screw that up. He also said the doctors told him he would make a complete recovery without any complications. He was 21 when the crash occurred.

It's real.
Anyone that has been in a crash knows that things happen really fast.
No, the guy is not an idiot. The jump is small and most of us on this forum have done this a million times, and have gotten away with it. He's not an idiot, just unlucky.
Maybe an idiot for leaking this video to the internet.................60 seconds and Barbara Wolters, time to go after the four wheelers!

It's real, the kid came too a few minutes later and came stumbeling down to the camera. I've done the same thing myself, just got lucky and pulled it off. This is what happens when you make a jump with a shovel and there is no ramp to it. Once you hit it, your just suspended and there is nothing you can do but ride it out.
