Are you suppose to "oil" both sides of the filter? Or just the dirty side?

 

after i clean and wash the filter i oil the outside of it until theres no white spots on it thats how they said to do it in the instructions

 

Yah but the istruction dont say what side, they just say oil until there is no white spots

 

I got a UNI and wondered the same thing. I finially decided to do both inside and out.

 

You only have to oil the outside but doing the inside is better.

 

Ive heard of people that ride pure dunes that they only oil the inside because the sand gets stuck to the oil on the filter and can clog it up. I always oiled my k&N on the outside, just till it turned pink. Now I have UNI foam filters and I oil those suckers inside and out.
