Default RAPTOR +3 A-ARMS QUESTION ABOUT SHOCKS TO USE.

i might be getting a pair of +3 a-arms for my raptor, can i still use the stock shocks until i upgrade?

I also might be getting YFZ fron shocks, would those work with the +3 a-arms.

thanks

You can, i did it for a while but its not fun, they will bottom on EVERYTHING because of the extra stress. Your gonna want to get shocks ASAP after the arms.

it depends on the a-arms. mine are ASR (americian star racing) if you use the stock shocks it will void the warent. i would go with elka or simillar shocks as an up grade first then get the arms. i have elka's on the front and ASR +3 arms.

So do you have to get new shocks? Or can you get away if you don't do any big jumping?
I got +2 up 1 American Star a arms coming....

i wouldn't get the ASR, get a set-up that uses ball joints for the lowers, not saying asr is bad, its just the the heims they use for lowers are not as strong as ball joints, their "lifetime warranty" is going to cover if you bend a heim joint. i picked up a set up Wicked off ebay for $500 beautiful quailty, much nicer than my friend ASR's, highly recommended, check my pics, if you want to see them. also stock shocks will be allright, with my +2+1 the stockers are a little soft for my 250lb butt, but my girl who's 140lb, loves the ride set-up. I saw your pics, thats why I asked. Are you using the stock hubs? If so, how do they fit on the axle?
