Default Holeshot or Razor tires??

I need new tires for my Banshee and i have not been riding to long,,i was wondering from experienced riders what tire might be better,,i will get alluminum rims with either set of tires,, i am looking at hole shot tires and Razor tires,, i wil be riding mostly trails and rough terrain with them,,some gravel and maybe some roads,,is looking for the best all around tire. Or is there another tire i should look at?? thank you for any help. Also i will be getting 4 new tires,,front and back,,is it good to put one kind on the front and another on the back??

Default Holeshot or Razor tires??

Hey Bansheeman i have Maxxis Razr 2s on my YFZ.. Myself i like them but i guess everyone has there own appinion. I have never had holeshots but i have heard they are good tires but i dont know that for a fact.. But my Razr 2 go excellent and they also wear very well. And you mentioned buying different ones for the front i dont guess it would hurt anything but it might look kinda funny But oh well its always good to be different.. Hope this helps

i put razrs on my raptor on just the rear, i figured the front was useless putting aftermarket ones on....

razrs are really good on hard ground and excellent for hill climbing
decent in snow, better than the stockers
horrid in mud, one place i was really dissapointed about

overall id buy them again, but i wanna try a different pair when the time comes around

I run ITP Holeshot XCRs front and rear and they are awesome. They are a six ply tire but are lighter than most 4 plys. ITP designed them to compare to their 2 ply MX tire so they perform very well on the track but still have the strength of a six ply to handle the off road abuse.

I have Holeshots XC on my Warrior and Razr radials on my Predator

I've found my XC dig more and track better at high speed...The Razrs propel better and are a better ALL around tire.

I killed two birds with one stone by getting the ITP holeshot 18" MXR4 rears and the 19" MX fronts.
The MXR4's claim to have double the tread life of the MXR's while remaining one of the top racing tires.
Also, by getting the 18" rear and 19" fronts, I shaved 2" off my overall bike height for a lower center of gravity.
This will work for you if you like the track.
