removing front shocks
#1
i wanted to remove my front a arms to polish them but i've never taken apart the front end. i was just going to free lance it but then i thought if i get the shocks off how am i going to compress them to put them back on? anyways could somebody tell me the best way to remove the shocks, and any other tips about taking apart the front end?

Put the front end up on a block, under the front part of the fram, so the arms and shocks have no pressure under them, undo the top and lower bolts holding the shocks in, remove the shock, and the arms go limp as far down as it can go. To reinstall the shocks, push the a-arm up a little until the shock(totally relaxed and not compressed at all) mounts right up, throw in the bolts, and remove the block, and its back to normal.---Rider1169
