jeting question

Default jeting question

what should i jet my yfz too i need to know needle position and what jets i have the gytr full exhaust and gytr rev box and k&n filter and no lid on air box so what should i jet it too for that???i just bought the gytr jetting kit

The GYTR jetting kit is a waste of money IMO.
You need to start out:
45 pilot
stock needle 5th-6th clip position, or YZ needle 4th clip
170-175 main
Fuel screw at 2- 2 1/2 turns out.

Should get you close.

theres a little clip on it once you pull it out you'll see the 4th clip on gytr needle is the middle if i'm correct also check you idle too..

Moving the clip down richens the mixture from 1/4 to 3/4 throttle.
Remove the clip, and re-insert it up or down to adjust the needle position.

You have to remove the top of the carb to get to it.

I would consult my local Yamaha shop before picking the jets to see which one is the best for your altitude. If you don't factor in your altitude, you might as well never install the jet kit.

I learned this the hard way...

it's on the bottom of the carb if your looking at it on the quad... thats why you get teh aftermarket A/F screw easier to find and you can tune it while the carb is on the yfz
