iv read a bunch of things that say if u drag race take you airbox lid off well i tried it aginst my friends raptor with the lid off i seemed to be slower then i put the lid on i seem to be faster is this just in my head or what? u have any sugestions

 

When you remove the lid on your air box, you must re-jet the carb's.... That is why your bike was slower.... When you removed the lid you caused a lean condition witch made you lose power... You would need to increase your main jets 2 or 3 sizes up.....
