Are you honestly that ignorant?

Edit: let me clarify... Almost all of your posts have had to do with the ATV action comparison on the bikes. You quote it like gospel in every thread you enter. Get a clue an understand that just because a magazine says something its not the final word. They dont even all agree, there are other magazines putting the pred ahead of the raptor. So why dont you tell us why we should believe this magazine and not the one that says the opposite thing???

I do testing of quads for a local mag, and we set up a drag race between a brand new stock 05 predator and a brand new stock LTZ400 05 model. The LTZ400 killed it in the drags. The new model is slow as hell, so fat chance of catching the bigger quads.

The predator handles well, but the seat I personally don’t like, and the tyres at the back of the predator looses grip real easy when you open it up. You have to constantly correct the steering to keep it going straight.

Power is nice, revs real well, but it is still slow compared to 450’s, raptors and even the new LTZ400’s

Thats crazy the 400 beats it, the old preds used to be fast. My friend has a 03 pred, totally stock and it wins againts quite a few other quads like raptors and ds's. I just dont get it, its totally stock. Maybe he has a 600cc stroker kit or something we dont see haha. His pred also has no power at all, just speed. Flat ground it cooks, up hill forget it, its terrible. Suprising though---Rider1169

I did not test top speed, pure drag racing till about 4th gear and the LTZ400 eats it for breakfast. 300 ft drag and the LTZ is nearly two quad length in front.

Top speed might be different and the predator could have more top end.

The 05 LTZ have better cams, bigger carb and some other little trick that is now standard. In stock form they make about the same power as a older LTZ400 with a full pipe, jet kit and new air cleaner.

Freez are you crazy?
Maybe if the 05 preds are slower than the older model predators then maybe it's true. But there is no way a ltz400 beats an older model predator, not in a drag race no way!!

I had never seen a predator run until this past weekend. I think it was an 03.
Drag race about only 100 yards, completely stock predator repeatedly beat out 4 piped banshees. And yes banshee guys if the race was longer the banshees probably catch it and pass it I know.

They are two different machines, it's all about getting used to them. I widened the back end of my raptor and it made a world of a difference, but my friend can keep up with me just fine around the corners and his is still stock. To some people the raptor might feel a little tippy at first, but then you get used to it and you won't have any trouble. You'll be happy with either choice I'm sure. What is the maintenance and reliability like on the predator?

Rode my brothers 05 it is tall geared in the first 3 untill you hit the upper mid range and top end. They need more air and a good exhaust.Fox shocks on all four corners, don't see nothing wrong with that.As far as the rear end wanting to come out from under you, not on this one.It had great hookup, when it hooks in the corners, you had better be leaning the right way. It's all in how you set up the shocks,I think it could take some hard abuse.Whats so fun about drags, big deal straight line!Get on it and ride the ***** off it,hillclimb, berms, sand dunes, jumps.Don't believe everything you read in mags.
