Im 6'2 225 16 and I was wondering what would be a good choice for me I know the raptor is bigger but the yfz has better suspension. The kind of riding I would be doin is mostly trail riding and some racing with friends. I was also looking at the polaris predator 500 tld but I think yamaha is a bit more depenable, plus what kind of pipe and air filter I should get with either quad ?

id prolly go woth the raptor if i were u.. its bigger u wont be as cramped and it will have more torqe to really pull u good on the trials. Id get a hmf pipe if i were u they are better for low end power for the trails and get the k&n with an outerwear for your filter

 

the kfx 700 v force are for big guys you can look into that

 

Yeah i looked at them i think a they are a bit to heavy for me tho. Plus I want a manual.

nope deffenitly get the rappter 660 it the best of the 2 and the yfz has a thiner pin that conects the wheels to the frame and if u go off a jump and land wrong the pins will snap so my advice is rapter 660

I think you'd be more comfortable with the raptor.

im 6'3, 250lbs, man im comfortable as heck on my banshee and have never been uncomfortable on anything encept for like a blaster or 250EX, i can even ride a 300EX and not be too bad

 

Overall, sounds like the Raptor might be a better fit for you. BTW, you could easily modify the Rappy to except Yfz front shocks, then pick up a set on ebay cheap.
