I guess you gotta do what ya gotta do to ride but I wouldn't recommend it. Yamaha doesn't allow you to buy just one side of the crankcase; it's sold as an assembly for a little over $500.

if its non-structuraland your just pluging the hole, then JB would be fine. Just use some brake cleaner and make sure the area is rough so the JB would stick.

Broke mine in the same place. JB weld didnt work, it worked as long as you idled but as soon as I took off all hell broke loose. I just got the new case and ate the bullet.

Sorry to hear that happened to you, been there done that.

On the raptor, you have to check most of your nuts and bolts, it even states that in the owners manual before each ride....

But.... Who does that?? I have found out the only people that do it is people like me that have had those problems occur.

there is a product called metal mender...and im not shure were to get it.....a old freind that owns a tranny shop used it,you had to keep it cold or it would go bad,it was a putty kinda like jb weld but after you put it on you sprayed it with the hardner and it was instintly hard. the stuff worked great, and seemed to stick better
