Default raptor problem

my cousin just bought my 2003 raptor 660 and we was down riding at my local bottoms and he was wanting to ride my new yfz. so i let him. then i was ridingmy old raptor i was in 3rd gear and i shifted into 4th and then i was giving it gas and it sounded like i pulled in the clutch but i didnt because i had both hands on the bars. it has never did this before when i owned it. does anybody know what the problem is.

it could definitely be the clutch but there are so many possibilities of what it could be without being there and experiencing it first hand
be a little bit more specific
did it rev up real high
did it feel like it lost acceleration
what exactly did it feel like

that is weird
it could be a telltale sign of the clutch fixin to give all the way out sometime in the future
