KFX 400 or YFZ 450?
Ok, i ride trails and sometimes race.
Should I get this:
03 KFX 400 Orange (05 Plastics)
Very well maintained
Ful skid plates
Polished swing arm
New tires
FULL Yoshi Pro Series Titanium full Exhaust system
K & N filter w/ aluminum air box
jetted
aluminum radiator scoops
909 Bars
Chrome bar clamp
all for 3500
or a 05 YFZ450 for 5600 new?

sounds like a good deal for the kfx if it has not been beat to shi!.... i rode a yfz out at the gravel pit i ride and liked it but i felt like a was siting on a piece of wood they are sweat quads i little smoother off jumps then my kfx.....and they have good power its tough to say what i would do if i was u i am going to wait to see what the suzuki 450 is going to be like... then i will decide on 450 but as of right now i will continue to ride the helll out of my kfx

just depends on if you want to creap or HAUL
you can get a yfz and for a 3 dollar mainjet and a about 2 hours it will outrun ANY piped raptor/kfx/z/shee
very easy to do
remove baffle
cut away air box unless you ride in wet or mud situations
slap that new main in
and the cam mod (easy)
every z/kfx I've ever ridden felt nutless

Well ORANGE is the fastest in my garage, so that gives you one vote for the KFX. But other than the color advantage the KFX has nothing over the YFZ, even with the full full Yoshimura exhaust, and other mods you list. I say get the YFZ, and don't try to second guess yourself. You already know the YFZ is a higher performance ATV, so go with your gut on this one. Enjoy.
