Just wondering what you thought of the yellow/ black on the engine, and what the barker pipes look like?

I was VERY pleased with the way everything turned out, and am looking forward to finally getting race after this whole ONE WAY thing is fixed. LOL I will let everyone know how the pipes perform when I finally get to run, but right now all I know is I like the looks and it sounds REALLY good!

Is that a polished stock shifter, or what are you using?

Any reason why you still have a linkage shifter on such a nice bike?

Machine and pipes look great btw.

Thanks everyone! I am glad you like the yellow on the engine. I wasn't sure on what color to use, but thought the yellow might bring out the flames plastics better.

Maddog that shifter is a torque shifter that is like 20$ on Rocky Mountains site. When you get to a certain point with putting money on your quad then another 80$ for a shifter is almost enough to push an already on the edge wife right on over! LOL

Once I get the bike to the point I want with the engine then I will start putting more on looks and lightning it up some, but like I said the wife is about to leave me over this quad and I think she may push for custody of it when she goes!

I understand completely. I didnt install a direct shifter for looks, it produces a much more positive feel and makes shifts quicker and more precise. I was curious because I have a clearance issue with my direct shifter and thought that you may have reverted back to another type to fix it.

I've got way too much into my bike as well, but the only person I have to deal with at the end of the month is my checkbook.

I swear I think if I wasn't maried I would buy one of those pack rats and just live in it and put all my money on the quad! LOL

I actually mentioned it to my wife once, cut she wasn't about to go for that!

By the way you have a nice looking quad as well... I am going to PM you about it.

Ow and Nasty Nate... Those pipes are made by Tim Barker. I am pleased with them so far.

Most the color on the bike is powder coating, but after the money I put in it over the winter the wife said NO on the coating, so I went to wally world (wall mart) and bought some engine paint. The only thing I have noticed so far is its very brittle. It will crack SUPER easy. Like around any bolts you put in it will crack and flake somewhat so I'm not sure how long it will hold up.
