Default Grizzly axles

Does anyone know if they have improved the problems Yamaha had with the 03' Grizzly axles? I have an 05' and a friend with an 03' that he has axle problems with. Just want to know what to expect

Yep, 03 was the year of bad axles. Better in 02, bad for 03, reverted back for 04. Basically a cost cutting exercise that didnt pan out.

I was choked when I went on my first ride on my "03 and broke both front axles. I admit I was riding it aggressively but not abuse by any means. The second one went when I was on my way back out and need the 4x4. I understand that was bound to happen. Expensive to go heavy duty but I think worth the cost.
