I have heard that putting a good set of pipes on my banshee is a very good modification. What kind of pipes would be the all around best for my Banshee?

Any replies would be appreciated.
Thanx in advance,001Banshee

I think the best "all around pipes" would be the FMF Fattys.

Go with LRD. They are adjustable, so you can set them for your particular riding situation. I have them on my 99 shee, and absolutely love them. I have heard from others that have tried the FMF fattys and Toomeys, and found that the LRD's perform better.

We'll That really depends on what you do most. For most people who like top end the new FMF SST pipes out perform all others, but Toomoeys are a very close 2nd. For Midrange and a nice powerband with a little bit of "pop" in the middle, the Duncan mids are what my racing buddy Derek uses and loves them. They almost make a banshee feel like my modified honda(not quite as much torque). I have no experience with the pro-circuit or new DMC pipes because no-one I have ever raced against had those on them. The standard seems to be toomey's,FMF fatty's, and Duncan Midrange. There was one guy who had a Dyno Port 2-1 and it sounds good and has a real nice easy to ride power curve but he was a little down on power compared to the others. That might be an ideal pipe though for MX or woods since it is lighter than the rest and had the most bottom end power of all of them. You didn't say what you mostly do and that really will make 1 better than another. Any of these would make good pipes though. I would try and find some good used ones to save since Banshee pipes are ex$pen$ive.

As you can see, opinions are like a-holes, everyones got one = )

I personally run toomey T5's on my (wifes) banshee and it performs awesome. If you get the kit it comes with the right jets, and needles to make your shee perform at its best. On the other hand the FMF's are good also. A friend of mine runs them and like them too. With both machines in "Tuned" shape we are neck and neck in a 2 way race.

Fit and finish is also good on both but my nod goes to toomey. And as far as sound, nothing beats toomey when your screaming up your favorite hill ; )

Good luck in whatever you decide!

Any aftermarket pipes will make a big improvement over the stockers. Just fiugure out what type of riding you'll be doing, and go from there.
