raptor tire?
#1
I am looking to replace my stock tires and see there is alot of choices, and I don't really want to do the trial and error thing. I ride lots of hard pack trail, we have a few sand cuts up here, and lots of gravel pits. Climbing gravel is probably about 70% of my riding. Any experienced reccomendations? I have a part two to this question- to me it looks like I might be able to clear a 22" tire?? I could use the ground clearance but I like where my gearing is now, how badly will the extra 2" effect this, I realize I could counter with a bigger sproket but looking at my sproket- skid plate clearance I would'nt get to much more in there. Let me know.

the 22' tires in the back will effect your speed you might want to regear it but its up to you i'd get 22's because it sounds like they will do you alot of good try them either way you will like them you might be able to get away with not gearing it

I would go with the ITP HD tires. If you are riding rocks alot like it sounds, get something designed to take the abuse rocks will dole out helps. I have had great luck with the ITPs in the desert where it is hard pack, rocks, and cactus. I have also liked the Pure Sports Bandits but they are fairly expensive. Dennis Kirk stocks them and the ITPs. Rocky Mountain stocks the ITPs

Yeah those ITP holeshot hd's look pretty good but when I checked out tire sizes 20" tall is it would'nt take care of my ground clearance issues, But thanx alot for your input I appreciate it
