more raptor mods
#1
hey i was thinking of adding some additional things to my raptor wanted to check in with you guys and see what you thought. im going to be doing flattrack with this bike, so need to get it set up for mainly that. as far as the lowering kit for the front, some folks say not go use the lowering kits because of the strain it puts on the mounts. some say to use extended a-arms and shocks, ok so if i do that, how is this going to actually lower any at all? next, i have an extra lonestar plus 4 axle for my banshee that i never used yet, im wondering if it'll fit my raptor? if so that would be great.

i run ice racing and dirt flat track and i recomend that you get as low as you can. As far as the lowering kit it works great for flat track because you wont be jumping. i also recomend making your quad as wide as you can. i personaly use ASR +3 a-arms and my new +4 swingarm is in the mail. Also be sure to check your local rules as to how wide your quad can be in colorado it is 50 in. max. Also i would get an anti roll bar for the front end. hoosuire tires and beadlocks if you have the money. I have most of the things listed and i also can use my raptor for summer with some mods. Anything else? i hope i answered all your questions. (sorry about the spelling).

as far as your concern for shocks. you pick up a set up elka long travel or TCS( or any other shock with sag) and its going to significantly lower yoru ride height also with providing more travel. beware the shocks with the SCC, or sag control are not cheap.
