How reliable is a blaster
#2
Ive had mine since early 2002 and I havent had to take it to the shop to get maintanence once. No rebuild, boring, hell I even had the same crankcase oil in the crankcase for over a year. This has been the most reliable machine ive ever been on. My fathers wolverine, stepmoms beartracker, and little sisters Raptor 80 have all had problems, but my blasters always fires up on the first two kicks and it's ready to ride! Don't know about what other people have witnessed or have expreienced but mine has been great to me!

thanks man I'm looking at a possible trade for my z250
it's an 01 and im getting him to put project blaster race-cut pink plastics on it (or lime green)
btw, this one started on the second kick and i have never kick-started anything before, so I didnt know what the hell i was doing and it still started.

Wait...your trading a z250 in for a Blaster...ok I know I'm a Suzuki guy but I would definately have to ask why?! My friend has a blaster and yes they are very reliable and are pretty cool but over a z250?...What's wrong with the z?...Hmm...I'm confused haha...

the blaster is a good trade for the Z. it will deffinently be a little step up. 250 4 stroke to a 200 2 stroke. yeah a blaster can be as reliable as you want it to be. it may take a little more care than your Z but its probably worth it. i have nothing against the Z, just prefer my blaster. never had any real issues with it. no rebuilds so far (after almost 2 years and many many rides and i dont baby it ).

Heck yeah man we rode it last saturday that thing is a kick in the *** compared to the z250
i think its a pretty good deal with all new plastics, it's at the dealer so i know for sure it's in good mechanical shape

As long as the quad is kept stock, there should not much problems, compared to same quad type that has been modified.
The more you modify, the more chances for things to go wrong.

The only problem I saw on the entire bike was a stress mark on the left front fender, and my buddy talked them into getting me a complete set of racing plastic from projectblaster.com in any color I want so I'm all for it now.
