I went out to the lake this weekend to ride my Raptor and was riding around with my buddies (400ex, Cr500 in Banshee frame and a big bear).
We were racing across the damn and I raced the 400ex again and is no match, destroyed it, all he had was bandit rear tires and DMC exhaust and jetted.
The Cr500 in the Banshee frame was no match in a drag race, he totally detroyed me. After meesing around jumping the helapad and donuts and all that fun stuff a man on a DS650 pulled up. He had just bought land and was asking us places to ride etc. We got to talking and decided to race. The DS raced the cr500 first and got detroyed. Then I raced tyhe Ds across. He got off the line faster than I did vecause i pulled the front end straight up and couldnt keep it down. As soon as I shifted out of second into third I pulled up right behind them and was gaining, Hit fourth pulling hard and was starting to pass on him, about 3/4 way across I pulled ahead and never looked back. I won by about abike or two. We went down and turned around and switched sides and tried again. This time I took off in second and led the whole way. We went back and was talking and my buddie on the Cr500 talked the guy into letting him ride the 650. The guy must have been a idiot because he let my friend race me on his bike. This time I beat the 650 with my friend on it by about 1/2 bike. We were neck to neck the whole way. I am 6'1" wheigh between 170-180lbs, been riding for 15 years. The guy on the Ds weighed about the same about5'10-6', I dont know how long he had been riding but he was talking about his old lt500 that he had and loved but was tired of sinking money into it. Well gotta go.

I've seen a few people who sold there LT500's and bought a DS650. Everyone thought the DS was the king of the kill. I reminded a few people at silver lake sand dunes last weekend that 2 strokes will always have the upper hand in the sand. The LT500 is a monster.

...2 strokes will always have the upper hand in the sand... Until a Turbo Charged EFI DS650 shows up!

Scooby, bring that DS650 out to Rocky Ridge this Sunday. I want to add another DS650 to my "killed list".

I wouldnt advise either of your racing since both of you guys have a hard enough time not breaking something everytime you ride.

Hehehe...you got a point there YamaRaptor. Although, I've never broken anything in a drag race (at least not yet).

It looks like TEAM ALBA sank the immediate supercharger cash into the Banshee. 100.5 rear wheel hp.

For whats it's worth I was a the Little Sahara in Waynoka last week and drag raced a few other quads while I was there. My Raptor is stock with the exception of a 12 tooth front sprocket.

I beat a stock DS650 & Banshee both with paddles. We raced for about 100 yards and I had about a quad length on both of them. One guy had a Banshee with FMF pipes and paddles and I lost to him by about quad and a half length. This was done with stock tires on my Raptor.

We went on a few night rides and it was a blast! We had about 10 in our group with just about everyone on a different quad. Yahmahas, Hondas, Polaris, Bombadiers and no one was bashing anyone's ride. Now that's our sport is all about!!
