Hey everyone i am thinking about purchasing a 480 kit from Max Power Engines for my YFZ450.. How much more power will i get from this kit? What about Reliability? Any info will be greatly appriciated...

 

why not go bigger, your gonna want it later, you know it lol. I heard that your engine becomes less religable and needs to be rebuilt more often becuase parts wear faster. Require a lot more maintence.

The reason i dont get the 508 is because i am only 14 and the 480 is only $845 and the 508 is $2450.. And my mom and dad told me that i didn't need that much power since i am only 14... But they told me they would get me the 480.. So thats why i chose the 480..

yea, your 14 and have a YFZ450, you should be fine for now. dont get the kit yet.

 

I'm 14 and ride a built YFZ450 with 52 HP. It all depends on the ability of the rider and what you're using the quad for.(drag racing, motorcross, dunes, etc.)

 

i mainly ride fast trail riding and do some drags with friends and people who come down where i live and ride.. And i jump alot too.. But mainly just big open roads and fast trail riding with some drags on the side..

 

Jamie are you scared? Of my little yz125? No it can't be. Ive done some thinking and if i can get 4000 out of my z i can turn around and buy a used yz250 or an rm250. Hhu. What cha think about that. Right there is something i am considering really hard. If i wasn't being a little scared of the power i would go for it. I can see why you want a 480 the yfz needs more power, right now it isn't that impressive. LOL.

 

patrick if my YFZ is so under powered how could it out run that YZ125, your Z,Allen's Z, And your modded 660Raptor, and that modded Predator?

 

Jamie, i am suprised at you. You know we have never had straight all out drag race. The last time we races i belived my raptor had a 30' stream of smoke comin out of it. And as to the 125, Dustin can't ride and i am 11 lbs lighter than him, and my ravishing good looks tend to slow me down. Ya know i would not want to hurt my pretty little face.
