wolverine cuttin out
#1
Im starting to fix my friends wolverine. Heres the problem. It starts fine and idles fine, but anything from 1/8th throttle and over it cuts out and back fires. I think it may be an eletrical problem. The guy said it happend once before and it was the brake cable? I dont know what he was talking about, but I have heard when yamahas p-brake is stuck or disconnected it does this.... SO, anyone with any expierence with this problem want to help me out?

The parking brake has a rev limiter, sometimes the switch sticks. The switch is right on the brake lever perch. If working it back and forth doesn't free it, you can follow the wires down under the plastic on the left side and disconnect.
If you do disconnect it, don't forget and leave the brake on, fried pads and rotor will result. Best policy would be to remove the whole parking brake and fit a blockoff plate, the thing is pretty useless anyway.
