Well, now just because its a racing company doing the work doesnt necessarily make it good. I have ran against some 686's that wasnt too impressing...then, I ran against some that I didnt really believe were 686's. LOL! But, as far as riding trails...as long as its a low compression 686 I dont see why you couldnt ride trails. You have a lot of variables whenever you just say 686! You can get a mild or wild 686!

I LOVE my LCC 686. It was built by Craycraft Racing and is everything the doctor ordered.I ride trails with it most of the time here in the Phoenix area and I drag race it at the dunes alot as well. It always starts and never gets hot. Recently I had the oppertunity to convert it to a 730 but decided to keep it as a 686. It is the most reliable engine I have found for the Raptor as far as building a motor. Some will disagree but thats my 2 cents worth. It has a 10.75 to 1 Ross piston with a Stage 2 Hotcam, Ported/polished, Barker Rod, balanced crank and stainless steel valves. This motor allows me to run 87 octane pump gas . I like that My videos page..
