I don't know yet...Don't look like many changes...I would definately keep your 2005, that's just stupid haha, and as for the Rap 700...NO NO NO. Don't buy haha, all it is, is a more expensive 660 with a big bore kit in it and less reliable (well...can't back that up yet but i'll say waht i want! haha)

Yeah I was thinking about buyin' one of those 700s too. They're looking pretty eye appealing. I'll have to wait and see.

Actually the new 700 is almost like a completely new machine. Its got a new frame made of both aluminum and steel and the bike is 2.5 inches wider and the overall height is lower. I never liked the Raptors but this new one sounds like its serious.

yea i agree also, one thing wonder on the 05's if i could get the seat the 06's come with has more padding in them a little softer of seat would be nice... my setup runs great and even the raptors with the big bore at the dunes i still out drag them but no biggie... the new colors i must say are nice, keep the opinions and thoughts coming...

The 2005 450's are fast, I wonder how much faster that extra 10cc will make the new 2006. I also wonder if the new 700EFI Raptor can keep up now.

The biggest thing I had against the YFZ was that chain adjustment procedure/swingarm. But now that they went with the Honda style setup I have no bad arguments against it. No offense to my fellow Honda riders, but if I decidedto get a new 450 I wouldn't even bother looking at the 450R. The bottom line is that Yamaha is giving their customers what they want....thats pretty obvious when I go to the track and see a dozen YFZs and two 450Rs at best.

yeah i agree but its just a little easier i'm guessing to adjust the chain but that wouldnt make me leave my current 05 for it... i doubt honestly 10cc's would make a difference weight would be the biggest change..

does anyone know if the cam mod is able to be used on the 06's

as well the raptor 700 should keep up now but still heavy... i think personally the yfz will out perform it anyways since yamaha's #1 sport atv is the yfz

well..i planned on buying a YFZ this weekend....soon did i realize there was no YFZ's left!! all out of 2005's and they said it will be a while till 06's come in..... i was hoping i would have gotten a good deal on a '05.

another thing that popped in my mind... the only reason i never liked raptors was becasue there were to narrow...now i see that this new raptor700 will be 2.5 inches wider!!! hmmm
now i dont know what to buy!!!
