Default blasters, good or bad

my friend is 4'10 95 pounds and this would be his first atv. he likes the blaster but i tell him that the 2 stroke isnt good for trail riding. but he just wanted to know other oppinions. so would this be a good atv for trail riding and only trail riding. and would it get through mud at all or just barely or whatever. thanks

blaster is good, if he has no experiance on bikes whatsoever, a 250ex is a good choice too

blasters are OK in the trails they just arent the best. a pipe for better bottom end and midrange would be helpfull but they do ok. i might also show him a 250x or ex or a 300ex or maybe a warrior. they are great first quads and the fourstrokes have lesss maintnence

just my opinion

blasters are ok.. but they are more work then ride. anything bigger than a 250 your lookin at some trouble with a person that small... unless he knows what he's doing.. i have a 01 trailblazer i bought new and rode that around till i got my 660R, that polaris is a good ride, but i got pry 3 thousand dollars into it, (looking to sell for cheep) with the auto matic transmission you will blow by most smaller quads on trails and hills, but if he's lookin for a clutch, look at the 250ex or possibly a mojave or something...

For someone that size and low experience, the Blaster is the best choice imo. The 300EX or Mojave those four strokers are close to 400 pounds and the Blaster is closer to 300 pounds, a significant safety factor.

You can also grow with a Blaster, you can hop them up to no end and also modify the suspension.

A blaster was my first bike, i loved it. and the only thing i rode it on was trails. pipe it, jet it, and widen out the rear end jsut a hair, and you`r good to roll, i kept up with 250Rs all day long, got it when i was 14 rode it till i was almost 17 and got my rappy, i loved the lil bike, very highly recomended. by me

oh yea on the maintaing part, i only put a piston in mine, yanked the oil injection when i piped it, and changed the oil in it, thats all. the only thing i ever put to much maintnence was the f%&*`n brakes, but i had the old style brakes, the new ones have hydros all the way around
