Just mix your gas at 32:1 and have fun. Congrats on the buy. Oh yeah use a high quality 2-stroke oil, something like golden spectro.

Check the crank case oil, chrck the raidator fluid level, clean the air filter if dirty, and check the tire pressure, then enjoy your purchase.

Well there are a few things, first and foremost,if you just bought it. DEFNITELY Change the gas, coolant, and oil.you never know if the guy who had it before you was an idiot. I would also do a thorough inspection. Check for loose bolts, missing bolts. (my lt250 is known to vibrate the bolts that hold the rim off OUCH!!! and any other bolt that isnt thoroughly secure) I would never go riding on a used quad without giving everything a good ole once over. tire pressure, like the other guy said. I would give a good half hour or so of easy going before i tore it up! My lt250 was a complete nightmare of missing and loose bolts. had regular tap water in the radiator(corrodes badly) and had weed wacker 2 stroke oil in it. HAve fun!!!!

Just like superevil said, go over that bike from back to front and then back again. I bought a 96 shee and the guy I got it from swore up and down that it had NEVER been tumbled. Well come to find out after a full tear down of the bike that at some time the frame had been snapped and then welded back together by someone that thought they were a welder and the left side foot peg had been totally sheared off the frame and then jimmy rigged back on.

Just when you think that you have check everything on that bike you had better check again. Good luck with the bike and have fun.
