KAWI DEFECTOR
I've owned a P650, SP700, P700, KQ 700 and a BF 750. I've always wanted the fastest utility I could buy. I guess I'm getting old because that's just not as important to me as it used to be. I want the entire package, with careful consideration given to the power to price ratio. I used to ride with a gentleman who owned a Grizzly 660 and I was always so impressed with it.
Long story short, I'm getting a Grizz Saturday. I'm paying $6,100 OTD for it. My reasoning is simple:
1. It's power is STILL up there with all but the biggest of the big-bores.
2. It looks the best. (I'm vain) lol
3. The ride is very comfortable and not as tippy as many have suggested. It's better suspended than a BF 750. I ride in rivers (deep water and mud) and fast trails and the Grizzly is very capable in those applications. I didn't say the best, I said very capable.
4. Finally, in my opinion, you can't beat the power to price ratio of the Grizzly @ $6,100 OTD. There's no way you could convince me that a SP800 is $2,500 better than a Grizzly or that a BF 750 is $600 to $1,000 better than a Grizzly. I owned a BF and it was very, very fast but very rough and poorly suspended. I've heard that the SP800 is very well suspended but the price is simply too loop-sided to consider it. It's the same song, second verse for the new Bomb 800. I have no doubt it'll be the best utility ever produced but the price is simply too high when you consider the other available options.
I could get a BF 650 or a P700 for that price as well, maybe cheaper. However, my old a$$ needs IRS now.
